Snowstorms and a Sleepover.

It seems that it has been awhile since we have posted last. My sincerest apologies to our few faithful followers. Life has been crazy (what else in new?), the last few weeks, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel! We have only two weeks of school left as of last Friday; two weeks after that will venture down to the great Sunshine State! Hopefully I'll be able to turn off my "lets get things done" mode and be able to relax a little. We're pretty excited for our trip.
So since so much has happened since our last post, I wont bother trying to fill you in. Erin may, but I'm too lazy. With that announcement I will begin my recitation on this previous weekend:
Saturday begin bright and early! Erin was doing a few up-do's for a wedding and needed to be in town at 6:45am... Far too early to do anything on your wedding day, in my opinion (I slept in until about 8:30 on mine, I thought it was great). Anyways, to save on trips in and out of town, I went with her and sat in the lobby of the Hotel the Bride's family was staying and got some things done. The family offered their free breakfast to us when Erin finished, so we enjoyed some waffles and talked about how things went (great, from the sounds of it). Since we were in town already we ran some errands. Erin went tanning, and was chilled the whole time. I ran to the Checkers Auto Supply and bought a bunch of stuff for Toothless (our Black 2000 Honda Civic, named after the dragon from "How to Train your Dragon"). Thinking that was a good use of a trip in town, and being really tired from our early morning, we headed back home to take a nap. I was a little anxious to keep the day going and a little excited to try out some of the new stuff I bought. With these things running in my mind, my body much more preferred to stare wide-eyed at the closet instead of napping. So I used my ninja skills to get out of bed without waking my wife who wasn't sleeping either. I spent the next 3 hours working on Toothless. I washed him and used a clay kit to really clean him up good, in preparation to wax him up shiny. We headed back into town and Erin went with some friends to get her nails done and we picked up some other stuff we needed. We ran into Wal-Mart to get some cleaning supplies and when we came out, we were welcomed by a side-ways snow storm! Its late May, for crying out loud... We ran back out to Hibbard for a Mary Kay Party. Yes, I went to a Mary Kay Party, and for your information they do have a men's line. When we got home, we had some really good Taco Salads, made by my wonderfully excellent and skilled-chef wife. We waxed the car and ran into to town for a night of fun and games!
Even though Erin quit working at the Rex some time ago, a few of her friends still work there, and they had this brilliant idea to all sleepover at the Rex, and stay up super late watching movies and being ridiculous all night. Much to her surprise, I wasn't a large fan of waking up at 5 or 6 to pick her up, and bring home to get ready church; so she decided I could come and we would just come home when we were done. I thought this was a great idea! We showed up at the Rex around 10 and waited a while for people to clear out. Once the crowds started to dissipate we jumped in the bounce house a little bit and then went bowling. I now know why Erin always threatened to dump me, if I took her bowling. She is really, really bad at it. And her competitive nature just can't stand it. On her last throw she gracefully smacked her own leg out from under her and threw the ball high in the air into gutter of the next lane. Her large goose-egg and bruise was immediate proof of her present dilemma. Needless to say, I don't think we'll be going bowling any time soon. Once our bowling escapades were over, we made some pizza and ice cream and started up Iron Man 2.
When everything was said and done, Erin and I left at about 4:30am. With only a few hours until church and a lesson to prepare we were eager for sleep.
And if you were interested, the lesson turned out great!

We have the most healthy breakfasts!

So the other night, after Andrew and I had gotten home from the gym, I asked him if he was hungry. He said that he was and he either wanted fruity pebbles or ice cream. Ha ha! I one up'ed him and combined the two sugar super powers into one sugar mega power! We ate it as we watched 30 min of The Goofy Movie before we went to bed. This morning I asked him what he would like for breakfast and, without any hesitation whatsoever, Andrew replied "Fruity pebbles and ice cream!" As I stuffed the blender with our remaining cookie dough ice cream and put two cups of fruity pebbles on top I wondered... if my mother knew what I was about to feed my husband for breakfast, (the most important meal of the day) how long she would ground me for, if in she was even in the same hemisphere. The only amount of time I could come up with was 'a long time.' RIGHT! From that point on I ignored my health conscience thoughts. Most of which were begging me to make him eggs or something with any kind of nutritional value at all. To make myself feel better about the situation, I went to the gym of an hour of running. :)
Today was Andrew and I's date day! Andrew had been talking about taking me on this awesome date for about three weeks now and was very excited about it. I had no idea what we would be doing because he loves to make everything a surprise. He came home from a morning at work at was even more excited because the weather was nice. It was in the upper 50s... maybe... so he told me to put on my swim suit and have shorts and a tank top over it for our date attire. It turns our that he found a really neat park in St. Anthony, about 20 min away. He loaded his long board, the football, a Frisbee, a blanket, and our Harry Potter book into the car. For the date, we were going to have a picnic and have a fun day in the sun! But once we got there the wind had picked up and the clouds had movies in. I was freezing! We played on the toys at the park for a little bit but then I couldn't handle it anymore. I was just too cold, being in my swim suit and all. I was sad as we left. The date had been a lot of fun and Andrew had put so much in to planning it, but the weather in Idaho is always out to get you. He is just so amazing! I am excited for his birthday coming up! I think I have all his gifts... though I might need to get one more thing. His birthday is on the 27th of this month and I can't talk about what I got for him or what I have planned because, unlike him I am not good at keeping secrets like this to myself. I get so excited about what I got for the person I just blurt it out, right to them so the surprise is completely ruined. BUT NOT THIS TIME! I am doing so well with this one! Anyhow.... that is my update on my perfect husband, and less than perfect weather/breakfast.

Blikes, Chili, & Elders

Our internet died again! AH! We have been without it for a week now and it has been impossibly annoying! The only way we can get the internet now is by sitting in our car close to our neighbors house. We don't want to waste gas, so we are bundled up in blankets in our car doing homework. Ha ha we look like homeless hermits. Again with trying not to waste gas, we have been trying to only make one trip into town a day. We have to plan everything out and get everything done in that one trip. This morning we were going to come in, take our Math 108 test, hit up the gym, Andrew wanted to give plasma so while he would do that I would go tanning (yes mom, I know... skin cancer comes with tanning beds) and I would blog. We would go back to the house, clean it and make dinner for the Elders who are coming at 4:45 tonight. BUT (there always seems to be a "but" to throw a wrench in my plans) I lost my Icard. Without that stupid little card I would be unable to take the test or go to the gym. AH! After revamping our plans for the fifth time, we decided to bike the estimated 6.5 miles into town, get some things taken care of, bike the 6.5 miles back out to the house, feed the missionaries, then drive back in to finish everything else. Hopefully I will be able to find my Icard by then so that we can go to the gym to lift weights and swim a bit.
The bike ride of doom: Oh my goodness! The wind in Rexburg it nigh unto a tornado! How is it that any direction we are going, we are biking against the wind?! Oh jeepers. Andrew just donated plasma and was dying on the way back home. It seems some how or another, I am close to killing my husband everyday. Or maybe he's just a wimp... Either way we ended up riding home in a blizzard/rain storm.
we went to work right away on the house and making dinner. The Elders called wondering were we lived. They had been given a ward list but it hadn't been updated so they had no idea where they needed to be. So, Andrew gave them some quick directions and they made it safe and sound. Dinner was amazing! I made some awesome White Chicken Chili, or at least Andrew said it was awesome. Collin Judkins came over when we were finished to go with the missionaries to a few lessons, he joined us for the spiritual message and then they took off. Andrew and I were in food coma, but we didn't want to just lay around so we decided to pull each other from my bike on a long board! So much fun! It was cold and kinda snowing on us, but it was a really good work out. What a wonderful way to spend our 1 month Anniversary.
We'll update you on how the Primary Lesson goes tomorrow, but for now, Good Night!
